NEW INITIATIVE

WASHINGTON, DC  (January 12, 2010) – The Window & Door Dealers Alliance (WDDA) – a new organization representing the interests of independent retail, wholesale, and installing dealers of new and replacement residential windows, doors, skylights, and related building products – today announced that membership applications are now being accepted from eligible companies across North America.

The WDDA officially launched in September 2009 and recently announced plans to hold the inaugural Window & Door Dealers Forum in conjunction with GlassBuild America® 2010 in Las Vegas. The WDDA also unveiled MyWindowClass.com, an online training program specifically designed for the window and door industry. The WDDA publishes Window & Door, WDweekly, and other publications designed to inform and advance the competitiveness of the industry.

“Driven by some of the most important leaders of the independent window and door retail industry, we spent the last year building a new organization that would fire on all cylinders from the word go,” said David Walker, vice president of association services for the National Glass Association. “We began to welcome companies into the WDDA before we officially opened our doors.”

To join the WDDA and/or to play a role in its development, please contact David Walker at dwalker@wddalliance.org, or visit www.wddalliance.org.
